Snack Time

 It has been a long time since I put up a painting. It's snack time for this Jack Rabbit. Agarita berries are a treat! This is painted on an 8 x 10 inch porcelain tile. It is exhibited in Grapevine Tx in a Texas themed exhibit that will be part of a traveling exhibit.

This little fox has been caught in the grapevines. Several years ago, I looked out the window and my fig tree was swaying! I watched as a fox climbed down from the tree with a fig, ate it, looked up and picked out which one he would eat next and then climbed back up to get another fig. I will paint that one of these days! 

Showcase New Home

Did you have a hermit crab when you were young? They are fun pets. My children had one also so I have good memories of them and of hunting crabs on the beach with my children. This is a painted on a porcelain tile. Sorry there is a shadow across the top cast by the frame.

My daughter loves elephants! I enjoyed painting this little one being protected by Mama!

Snack time

A couple of weeks ago, I attended the International Porcelain Artists and Teachers Convention. It was very inspiring to see the artwork and attend workshops from artists around the world. I enjoyed seeing old friends and making new ones. One of the highlights (beside the fact that I will not be on the board and will have more time to paint) is that I entered the competition and won a gold ribbon! This is a 10x10 inch tray with a chipmunk snacking on wildrose buds. (Shhhhh....he doesn't know he has won a gold ribbon)
